HOW PANASONIC NETWORK CAMERAS WORK:
- Panasonic Network Cameras use the Internet for their
functionality
- Setting up a basic Panasonic Network Camera is
relatively easy. The cameras come with AC adapters, which you will
need to plug into a power supply. You will then connect the
camera(s) to either a router or switch via ethernet (cat 5, cat 6, etc.)
cable. Think of the cameras like little computers. Whatever
you would need to connect a computer to your network, you will need to do
the same with your cameras
- After you connect your camera(s), you could download
Panasonic's FREE software that enables you to view up to 16 cameras
simultaneously, available through PANATELDIRECT.COM
- Panasonic assigns you a web address, where you can view
your cameras from anywhere you have an Internet connection.
- PANATELDIRECT.COM is available for installation and
programming services in the New York Region, and we provide free tech
support nationwide.
OVERVIEW:The entry-level Panasonic BL-C160 outdoor network camera is an ideal
solution for monitoring small businesses and domestic locations. The
camera's splash-resistant outdoor design allows for discreet viewing of
external locations, and a 10x digital zoom provides further detail if
you need to isolate a specific area of the camera's field of view.
In poor lighting conditions, the BL-C160's colour night view mode
will automatically adjust the brightness of the image to compensate.
When light conditions become too poor for the colour night view mode to
compensate, the BL-C160's integrated White LEDs can illuminate the
camera's surroundings, providing a round-the-clock surveillance
solution.
Alongside this, built-in motion and passive infrared detection (heat
detection) can inform you via e-mail and trigger recording of activity.
With its integrated web server, a live feed from the BL-C160 can be
viewed on using a standard web browser on any internet-connected
computer, such as Internet Explorer or Safari.
The BL-C160 is a Power over Ethernet camera. When utilising the
included power transfer unit, a single cable can provide a network
connection and power to the camera, simplifying installation and
reducing costs and time taken.
