HOW PANASONIC NETWORK CAMERAS WORK:
- Panasonic Network Cameras use the Internet for their
functionality
- Setting up a basic Panasonic Network Camera is
relatively easy. The cameras come with AC adapters, which you will
need to plug into a power supply. You will then connect the
camera(s) to either a router or switch via ethernet (cat 5, cat 6, etc.)
cable. Think of the cameras like little computers. Whatever
you would need to connect a computer to your network, you will need to do
the same with your cameras
- After you connect your camera(s), you could download
Panasonic's FREE software that enables you to view up to 16 cameras
simultaneously, available through PANATELDIRECT.COM
- Panasonic assigns you a web address, where you can view
your cameras from anywhere you have an Internet connection.
- PANATELDIRECT.COM is available for installation and
programming services in the New York Region, and we provide free tech
support nationwide.
OVERVIEW:The Panasonic BL-C140 outdoor IP camera is an entry-level model
ideal for monitoring homes and small businesses. The camera's outdoor,
splash-resistant design makes it well suited to unobtrusive
surveillance of outdoor areas. A 10x digital zoom enables you to
isolate areas of the camera's field of view for detailed inspection,
and in poor lighting conditions the BL-C140's colour night view mode
will automatically adjust the brightness of the image to compensate.
Alongside this, built-in motion detection can trigger recording and
inform you by e-mail of any untoward activity in the camera's field of
view, and with its integrated web server a live feed from the BL-C140
can be viewed using a standard web browser on any internet-connected
computer, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
The BL-C140 is Power over Ethernet capable. Using the included power
transfer unit, both power and a network connection can be provided to
the camera using a single cable. This simplifies installation and
reduces time and costs incurred.
